Thank you for listening. Thank you for believing. Thank you for standing with us.

About the Films

The Cassandra Project is a trilogy of scripted short films highlighting the dangerously high stakes that often arise when women are not believed and their voices are disregarded and dismissed.

Three films. Three female protagonists. Three warnings. One unifying and terrifying truth: when women are not heard, it is dangerous for everyone.

Named for the Trojan princess who was blessed with the gift of prophecy but cursed never to be believed, The Cassandra Project is inspired by the real-life experience of creator/filmmaker, Barclay DeVeau, who spent months desperately attempting to get a diagnosis for a life-threatening medical condition, only to be repeatedly dismissed, disregarded and gaslit by numerous medical professionals as she deteriorated. Born from Barclay’s own experience, this trilogy speaks for the countless women whose truths have been silenced in spaces where they should have been heard.

Independently, each film serves as its own powerful cautionary tale. As a trilogy, their impact will be all the more resounding, demanding society do what it so often refuses to:

Listen to women. Believe them. Support them.
